The Family Center helps Maury County residents with issues stemming from poverty.  We assist with food, eyeglasses, rent and utility assistance and medication.  We also have a program to help the homeless find permanent housing.  In the summer, we assist with backpacks for back to school.  We give out turkeys at Thanksgiving and toys at Christmas.  We offer financial counseling, parenting classes and anger management programs.  We also spend a great deal of time educating our community on the struggles of our most vulnerable citizens.  We run primarily on donations from the community and an army of volunteers.  We also work hard to keep tabs on other resources and assistance programs in the community so we can make referrals to further assist our clients.  The Family Center is a grass roots organization that provides the community with temporary economic assistance and opportunities that foster healthy lives and home environments since 1999.
